AJB STUDIO 

​​1. Bookings & Confirmation

Your appointment is only confirmed once any required payment has been successfully processed and you receive booking confirmation from AJB Studio.
 

Please ensure the name, mobile number and email address provided at the time of booking are accurate so you receive all appointment information, reminders and consultation forms.
 

Appointments are generally released up to 3 months in advance and are subject to availability.
 

2. Deposits & Payment

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking for standard makeup appointments. Your deposit is applied toward the total cost of your service, with the remaining balance payable at your appointment.
 

Selected services, including The 5 to 9 Makeup Refresh, require full payment at the time of booking.
 

Deposits are non-refundable for change of mind or client cancellation, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
 

Where card details are provided as part of the booking process, you authorise AJB Studio to apply any cancellation or no-show fee that becomes payable under these Terms & Conditions.
 

3. Bridal Trials

The online Bridal Trial service is exclusively available to brides with a confirmed Angela Jane Beauty wedding booking and secured wedding date.
 

Where your trial is already included within your bridal package, no additional payment is required through Timely.

Standalone Bridal Trial bookings made without a confirmed AJB bridal booking may be cancelled.
 

Your broader wedding booking, package and associated payments remain subject to your separate Angela Jane Beauty Bridal Agreement. These studio terms do not replace that agreement.
 

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

I completely understand that plans can change.
 

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
 

With 48+ hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred once when rescheduling your appointment.
 

A reschedule means moving your existing booking directly to a new available date and time. Your replacement appointment must therefore be selected at the time the change is made.
 

The new appointment must fall within the dates currently released for booking by AJB Studio, generally up to 3 months in advance.
 

Deposits cannot be placed on hold, retained as an open credit or transferred to an unspecified future date. If you choose not to select a new appointment when cancelling the original booking, the booking will be treated as a cancellation rather than a reschedule.
 

Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of the appointment will result in the deposit being forfeited.

Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be charged up to the full value of the booked service.

Clients with repeated late cancellations or no-shows may also be required to pay future appointments in full at the time of booking.
 

5. Arrival & Lateness

Please aim to arrive approximately 5 minutes before your appointment. A seat will be available at reception while I prepare to welcome you into the studio.

If you are running late, please contact AJB Studio as soon as possible.

I will always do my best to accommodate you; however, late arrival may mean your service needs to be shortened so the following client is not affected.

Where there is no longer sufficient time to safely or professionally complete the booked service, your appointment may need to be cancelled or rescheduled and may be treated as a same-day cancellation.
 

6. Studio Etiquette & Guests

I love that getting ready can be an experience you want to share. However, AJB Studio is an intimate space within a shared beauty hub, so clients are kindly asked to attend their appointment alone.
 

There is a small communal waiting area; however, this is also used by clients attending neighbouring businesses and needs to remain available to everyone.
 

A loved one, parent or friend is absolutely welcome to drop you off, but they will be asked to wait outside the studio during your appointment.
 

There are plenty of communal spaces nearby, and Shellharbour Shopping Centre is just around the corner.

Please be mindful and respectful of neighbouring businesses, their clients, staff and all shared areas during your visit.

Where a client is a minor and requires a parent or guardian to remain present, please contact AJB Studio prior to the appointment so appropriate arrangements can be made.
 

7. Sundays, Public Holidays & Early Starts

Appointments booked on Sundays and Public Holidays attract a $10 surcharge per service booked.
 

Early-start appointments may also be available by request.
 

Appointments commencing before 7:00am attract an early-start surcharge of $50 per hour prior to 7:00am, calculated by the starting hour of the appointment.
 

For example:

• 6:00–6:59am: +$50

• 5:00–5:59am: +$100

• 4:00–4:59am: +$150
   

Early-start appointments are subject to availability and may not be available through the standard online booking calendar.

8. Health, Allergies & Hygiene

Your safety, comfort and the hygiene of the studio are incredibly important.
 

Clients must disclose any known allergies, sensitivities, previous reactions, skin conditions or eye conditions that may affect their makeup service through the consultation form or directly with AJB Studio.

Please contact AJB Studio before attending if you are experiencing an active cold sore, conjunctivitis or another eye infection, open or weeping wounds, significant skin irritation, burns or active infection, contagious illness, or flu-like symptoms that may present a risk to others.
 

AJB Studio may modify, postpone or decline a service where proceeding could reasonably create a health, hygiene or safety concern.
 

Professional hygiene and sanitation practices are followed between clients and throughout all services.

Client-supplied makeup, lashes, tools or other products may be declined where their hygiene, condition or suitability cannot reasonably be assured.
 

If you have a known sensitivity and would like to discuss product suitability or patch testing before your appointment, please contact AJB Studio in advance.
 

9. Your Makeup Service

Every makeup application is tailored to your individual features, preferences and skin.
 

Inspiration images are always welcome and are a great way to communicate the overall direction you love. However, an identical result cannot be guaranteed, as makeup will naturally translate differently depending on individual features, skin, colouring and the products and techniques best suited to you.
 

If you would like something adjusted during your appointment, please let me know while we are together so I have the opportunity to make reasonable changes before the service is completed.
 

Completed services are not refundable simply because of a change of mind.
 

10. Creative Makeup & Additional Services

Creative and Festival Makeup is priced according to the standard service description and allocated appointment time.

Looks involving prosthetics, specialty embellishments, extensive body work, complex special effects or highly intricate detailing may require additional time, products and pricing.
 

Please contact AJB Studio before booking if your inspiration includes these elements so the appropriate service time and price can be confirmed.
 

Any additional service or charge outside your original booking will be communicated before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
 

11. Pricing

Current service pricing is displayed at the time of booking.
 

AJB Studio may update service prices from time to time. However, a price change will not retrospectively alter the price of an already-confirmed appointment unless you request a change or addition to the original service.
 

Applicable Sunday, Public Holiday, early-start or specialty-service surcharges remain payable in addition to the standard service price.
 

12. Photography & Content

Photos and/or short videos may be taken before, during or after your appointment and may be used by AJB Studio for portfolio, website, social media and promotional purposes.

If you would prefer not to be photographed or do not want your images shared, simply let me know before or on the day of your appointment — absolutely no problem at all.
 

Choosing not to participate in photos or content will never affect the service you receive.
 

Where appropriate for a client under 18, consent will be sought from a parent or guardian.
 

13. Personal Property & Studio Damage

Please take care of your belongings while visiting the studio.
 

AJB Studio is not responsible for personal items that are lost, forgotten or damaged while at the premises except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
 

Clients may be responsible for the reasonable repair or replacement cost of AJB Studio property, products or equipment that are deliberately or negligently damaged or removed.
 

14. Conduct & Safe Environment

AJB Studio is intended to be a welcoming, respectful and safe space for everyone.
 

Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, illegal, unsafe or significantly disruptive behaviour toward AJB Studio, neighbouring businesses, staff or other clients will not be tolerated.
 

AJB Studio reserves the right to discontinue a service and ask a client to leave where continuing the appointment would be unsafe or inappropriate.

Any payment or refund in these circumstances will be considered having regard to the service already provided, reasonable losses incurred and any applicable consumer rights.
 

15. Artist Illness, Emergency & Events Outside Our Control

If illness, emergency or another circumstance outside AJB Studio’s reasonable control prevents your appointment from going ahead, you will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible.
 

Where possible, an alternative appointment will be offered.
 

If AJB Studio is unable to provide the booked service and a suitable alternative arrangement cannot be reached, any payment relating to the unprovided service will be refunded.
 

AJB Studio is not responsible for delays or inability to provide a service caused by circumstances reasonably outside its control, but will always make reasonable efforts to communicate with affected clients and find an appropriate solution.
 

16. Privacy

Information collected through your booking and consultation may include your contact details, appointment history, service preferences and information relevant to safely providing your service.
 

This information is used to manage your appointment, provide your service safely, process payments, communicate with you regarding your booking and maintain appropriate client records.
 

Information may be processed through trusted providers used by AJB Studio, including Timely and its payment services, and will otherwise be handled in accordance with the AJB Studio Privacy Policy.
 

17. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
 

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
 

19. Acceptance of Terms

By completing an online booking, paying a deposit or making full payment for an AJB Studio service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
